We are getting ready for the 2025 ISA Miniature Convention in Kleinmond, Western Cape, South Africa. We will be celebrating our 15th birthday, and we have lovely workshops lined up.
The 2025 workshops can now be viewed by using the dropdown menu under Convention 2025.
The ISA Convention will take place from 8 to 12 September 2025. Arrival on the afternoon of 7 September 2025.

At the 2024 Convention, we had a visit from the Kwêla team. Kwêla is an Afrikaans magazine program on DSTV, Kyknet channel. They interviewed participants, attended workshops, and also visited the Cape Town Miniaturia Guild fair. We are thankful for the exposure it gave to our hobby, or should I say our passion!

History of the Convention:
The Annual Miniatures Convention was founded by Isa Lindstrom, a member of the Cape Town Miniaturia Guild, who used to live in Betty’s Bay. After attending the Guild School at Castine, USA, she wanted to try something similar here in South Africa. Her vision was to involve miniaturists from all over South Africa, especially those without a formal miniatures club. She wanted miniaturists to learn skills, and then use those skills to teach other miniaturists. We have attracted delegates not only from South Africa, but also from the USA, Taiwan and New Zealand, who commended us on the standard of our workshops.
The first Convention was held in Betty's Bay in 2010, first at the Bettiesbaai Oord, and then at Crassula Hall. Since 2023, the venue is at the Grail Centre in Kleinmond, where we have accommodation as well as classrooms.
