Laser cut jigs will be used to accurately glue the fire screen together. The rebate on the oval will be cut on the mill. Students will learn how to shape the legs by hand. Except for the turned parts, all the pieces will be made from scratch, using pre-cut wood blanks. The turned brass finial will be provided. Upholstering the screen with petit point will be discussed, but will not be part of the class.
